Statement of Faith
Burundi Orphans Inc.
These beliefs represent the foundational truths we hold as essential to biblical teaching.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is wholly trustworthy, without error, and fully authoritative in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 12:6–7; 2 Peter 1:19–21).
God the Father
We believe in one eternal, perfect, and loving God. Though He is one in nature, He reveals Himself in three distinct Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 1:17).
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and the sole Savior of the world. He was fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and performed divine miracles. He willingly gave His life on the cross, shedding His blood to atone for our sins (Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 43:11; Matthew 1:25; John 1:29).
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. He is a divine person sent by the Father to dwell within believers, guiding them into truth and convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 14:16; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20).
Salvation
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but through Adam's fall, all have inherited a sinful nature. Salvation is found in Christ alone. Those who place their faith in Jesus are spiritually reborn—saved by grace through faith, not by works (John 3:16; John 14:6; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9–10; Ephesians 2:8–9).
